Hello. I just wanted to thjank you for getting our son into the showcase. He just hit 88.5 at the PBR (Legion) Showcase. We are very grateful for this (Legion All Star) opportunity. He is getting a lot of division 2 interest now. He heard very little before this weekend. I am so happy for him. Thank you for putting this together. Talked to a number of college coaches at the field who loved it too.

      Just wanted to take a second and thank each and every one of you for putting on a great show! I can personally say that my son enjoyed every second of this wonderful opportunity and is already making notes on what it will take to come back again next year. Hats off to each of you for a wonderful three days of baseball! Thank you again and have a wonderful rest of your August!

 Thank you for a great weekend! The only thing I would say is to avoid coaches having their own kid on the same team. They tend to play a lot more and get better looks in front of people because of the bias.

 Thank you Mike and Bruce for ALL you've done to promote Minnesota's talented high school athletes. Your dedication, commitment, and passion are commendable. I'm sorry you weren't allowed to continue this great event. The Legion Board is only hurting the players. Hold your heads up high.

 It was a super wknd! 

We are blessed that Lane could be apart of it! 

Great memories were made for sure, we all had such a blast! 

He commented on the people he met, how fun it was and how grateful he was to participate!

 Sorry to hear about the Cease and Desist from Legion officials.  I read through everything (and sent to) Coach DH and others.  I’m assuming at this point there won’t be a reversal or anything?  Just need to know.

I thought it was a super great thing for Legion baseball and it’s too bad it has come to this.  You guys put a lot of time and money into it, I know.  It was great partnering with you in it for the time we had with it.  I appreciate all you did for the young men.  I could tell you cared!

It’s SO great to hear about the success of your All-Star Weekend. I know it wasn’t easy to build – nothing is – and I can’t wait to see how this grows. I definitely agree that this is an event people will continue to eat up. What an awesome concept that’s so good for the players, good for baseball, and good for Minnesota!!!

Again, I apologize for Rod Carew’s tardiness, so thank you for being so understanding and adaptable when it came to adjusting the program. I really appreciated that.

Please keep me posted as soon as you lock in dates and details for next year. I don’t know for sure, but I anticipate we’ll want to support in some way or another. Thanks for everything you’re doing for baseball. We appreciate your heart and passion so much.

Good morning,

Just wanted to let you know how much fun our family had at the series.  Weather was perfect, games were well run, the prices on the spirit wear were great, and we met a lot of other families in the stands.  Our son made new friends who he is still talking to in a large group chat today.   

One comment spoken during opening ceremonies was about how players who were rivals are now teammates.  I think that is very true.   Our son had a run-in with one of his teammates during the Legion state tournament a week earlier and at the prospect series I looked out onto the field and they were throwing partners.   It was a great way to cap off the season.

The only bad thing is that he will be too old to come back and do it again next year

Thank you for the enormous amount of planning and preparation that must have gone into the weekend.  It is much appreciated.

Thanks guys. Our son attended All Stars in 2023. It was a great weekend for our family. We spent three nights exploring the area, attending a Twins game, and having some great baseball. Several college coaches got in contact with us. Our son found a college roster spot. You guy's put Legion baseball in a great spotlight.

What is wrong with adults that won't resolve issues? Very bad optics for Legion baseball and a poor reflection on those that say they are leaders. Big step backward.

 Thanks for all your efforts with the Legion all star event.  Sorry to hear that it will not happen this year!!!  Appreciate everything you guys do for Legion baseball and to make this a first class event for our players, families and state.

Looking forward to seeing you both at some point this summer legion baseball season!

I appreciate the official heads up. There were some rumors floating about Legion officals and actions against you guys and all stars. Many of us in the college coaches community had been hoping for years to see some progress from the Legion baseball officials. The creation of the all star program was a step in the right direction.  It qiuckly became a mandatory stop and perfectly timed at the beginning of August.

I had a conversation with another coach at the all star tournament. He was very positive on your program. But he told me to keep an eye out. The success of the program might be its undoing. You and I go way back with Legion baseball. Thank you for trying to bring Legion forward.  This will only fuel club programs more.  Guys like you and Mike have the fortitude to forge new paths. Too bad the officals can't change course.  Some just live in yesterday.
